A quick note about our use of AI. We are creative people and we do not believe in AI being used to "create" content or steal other creator's content to "train" an AI. That said, this video uses the Descript software.
There are only two parts in this video that are AI created. The voice of the newscaster and the animation of the newscaster to match the voice. The script was written by She-Hawk and the moving the newscaster around the screen, the inset images, videos, newspaper intro and end card were all done by our owner, Iain. We did not ask AI for any creative input (content or design)
Also Descript does not take other people's content without permission. It specifically is an AI built to help with the video editing process and it is learning from people who are descript users who have explicitly allowed their content to be used to make it better.
Finally, we will be using Descript on our own videos in the future. The AI we will be using there will help speed up the editing of our content. (It auto-eliminates our "ums" and "ahs" along with our long pauses or retakes) It will not be used to create new content based on text prompts. The content and creativity will still be ours.
