So, yes it's been awhile since we last wrote up a blog post. Hope everyone had a nice holiday season and as we ease into the new year, we want to discuss where Detective Hawk Games is going as a small business this year.

We've been working hard behind the scenes to add additional suppliers for our items. We now have ACDD fully on board and are working to align our product offerings with theirs.

We are looking into backing kickstarters/game founds/backerkit and offering more preorders. The biggest issue we are seeing is the delay on getting you, our customers your items. Release dates change, sometimes by days, weeks, months or even years and we are concerned that by making you wait, you'll lose confidence in us even though those wait times are out of our control. So we are exploring those opportunities and may end up back those games that are already completed or have definitive release dates. 

Later this year, the store will close for a three week period May 1st - May 21st. No orders will ship during this period. We are a family run business and we will be taking a holiday. 

Looking ahead to the summer and fall, we will be expanding our sales, which you may have noticed have been not happening this first part of the year. With sales, we get increased order volume and our family has been a bit under the weather this first part of the year, so we intentionally have not run sales. That will change once we return from our trip in May. 

Finally, this winter we are going to try and get ahead of the Black Friday sales and offer our discounts earlier. 

Right now we are focusing on getting back to writing more content and producing more videos for the site. We will be running a small sale for St. Patrick's Day and the "Luck of the Irish" and for Easter as we know board games make great gifts!
