KS News: Transmissions and Tussie Mussie

We have apprehended some fabulous Kickstarters! Hopefully some of you managed to find these for yourself but if you’ve missed out we have got you covered.

Transmissions: The Board Game

transmissions

First up is Transmissions: The Board Game. You have just got to love these cute little robots!

Transmissions is a tile placement, set collection game. It’s a 1 – 4 player game, with a 45 – 60 min playtime. The creator recommends it for Ages 10 & Up.

Even better, since we got the Kickstarter edition, we’ll be bringing you all the stretch goals upgrades that go along with the game.

Tussie Mussie

Switching gears, we were also intrigued by the Tussie Mussie expansion when we spotted it on Kickstarter. When we realized we could get a retailer package including the base game we jumped at it.

Tussie Mussie is an Elizabeth Hargreaves designed game produced by Button Shy. If the beautiful flower artwork reminds of the birds of another Elizabeth Hargreaves game (Wingspan), that’s likely because artist Beth Sobel, is also involved here.

Keep an eye out on our store around October when we expect to receive and list both the core and expansions.

Tussie Mussie

Coming from an era full of fads such as using tear catchers to determine the length of mourning, Tussie-Mussie is based on the Victorian fad that assigned meanings to the flowers that friends and lovers exchanged

Famous authors such as William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, and Emily Bronte all utilized the meaning of flowers in their writings, and now you can experience the language of flowers in this newest wallet game from Wingspan designer Elizabeth Hargrave, artist Beth Sobel, and Button Shy Games. (Also includes a solo expansion by Mike Mullins – see below for more info.)

Featuring I-Split-You-Choose drafting, players draw 2 cards and offer one face-up and another face-down to their neighbor. The neighbor takes their choice and the active player receives the other. After everyone has 4 cards, face-down cards are revealed and everyone scores their collection. After 3 rounds the scores are totaled to determine a winner!

Transmissions and Tussie Mussie will be coming to our Shoplater this year!
